Hi Michael,
will your solution be possible for all kind of dialogs?
This would be a realy great thing.
Or implement a class using the TJvDynControlEngine of the JVCL.
This gives us the possibility to have the dialogs of the edit controls build with our special control sets, for me it would be DevExpress.

DevExpress looks good - I bought it, but damn it sure as hell blows the .exe size out to the wazoo - using one control includes ALL the code. And it's as complicated as all get out to use
I'd trade my DevExpress library for something simpler any day of the week.

Your new library would be possible also.
The TJvDynControlEngine i developed is a generic mechanism to encapsulate different libraries.
The "only" you have to do is to implement one library unit, and after that all dialogs which are working via the TJvDynControlEngine using the new controls library.
The Jvcl contains libraries for VL, JVCL and DevExpress Controls.
