I have my own reasons for wanting to use user ranges, I am not entirely sure why they have been implemented, but am glad that they have been. Can you provide your own reasons for their existence, Michael?

Once some user ranges have been defined, I would like to provide ongoing processing with them, and it would appear :

Code:
function CurrentUserRange: TUserRange;

would provide this functionality.

My question is: if for whatever reason, a user range (A) is defined from position 100 to 120, and another user range (B) is defined from position 110 to 130. The Caret is currently positioned in the middle of the two, at 110 (non selection), which user range is returned by CurrentUserRange?

Thanks
Aaron

User ranges is additional tool for custom highlighting.

In your case, user range with less index in collection will be returned by the CurrentUserRange function.

Michael.
